Total Health Care has five health care centers conveniently located throughout Baltimore and is committed to providing quality primary care for both children and adults.

The Maryland Children's Health Program (MCHP) offers a free or low-cost health insurance program for up to age 19 and pregnant women in families with low to average incomes. Covered services include in-patient hospital care, medical doctor visits, lab tests, dental care, eye care, medicines and immunizations. Income before taxes and other deductions is counted.

Income Qualifying Levels – Effective MARCH 1, 2007

Free Coverage for Children

$20,6420 for a family of 1	$34,340 for a family of 3	$48,260for a family of 5
$27,380 for a family of 2	$4,300 for a family of 4	Add $6,960 for each additional family member

Free Coverage for Pregnant Women

$34,225 for a family of 2*	$42,925 for a family of 3	$60,325 for a family of 5
Pregnant woman and unborn child *	$51,625 for a family of 4	Add $8,700 for each additional family member

Low Cost Coverage for Children

If your children are not eligible for free health care services through MCHP, you may purchase coverage for your children through MCHP Premium. Effective March 1, 2007 the cost per family is $45.00 per month if month if family income is at or below:

$25,525 for a family of 1	$42,925 for a family of 3	$60,325 for a family of 5
$34,225 for a family of 2	$51,624 for a family of 4	Add $8,700 for each additional family member

Children enrolled in MCHP Premium before March 1, 2007 whose family income is higher than the amount listed above may remain eligible after March 1, 2007. Premiums are $57 per family per month if family income is at or below:

$30,630 for a family of 1	$51,510 for a family of 3	$72,390 for a family of 5
$41,070 for a family of 2	$61,9500 for a family of 4	Add $10,440 for each additional family member

The qualifying income amounts change every year. IMPORTANT: Even if your income is a little higher than the amount shown for your family size, you and your children may still qualify if you work, pay for childcare, alimony or child support. Therefore, please apply.
